Errors with exceeded max time without delivery / Lost Connection

Hi,

i don't know i i'm right here, but i try to get help for ur customers.

We are a Internetprovider with about 20.000 EMail-Customers. We are using Postfix on your Servers and had many times Problems to reach your Servers or get Mails from you.

I see in our Logfile this:

I need a solution

We have recently started using TLS with few organizations . when I conduct a test with them , most of them are able to provide me a log  for TLS Reception wehreas I  can only provide logs for TLS Outbound Delivery .I am not able to get a log for emails recived via TLS . I even tried to enable Debug Logs for MTA but didn't find any thing there .

SMG Version is 10.5.1-2

Any Ideas .

I need a solution

Hi, just wondering why SMG is so active. Within an ESXi environment this has an impact on other vServers on same host. It seems to be constantly busy (see enclosed) no matter time of day. I can throttle it using ESXi but wonder if that would have any impact / advisable etc ? Or, is there a way to quieten it down a bit ! iostat shows it's running at 20% all the time & conduit appears to be the problem.

I made a mistake during installation licence on customer SMG, and I installed licence file from another company that is valid more longer than the licence I should install.

Is there a way to delete the existing licence?

Hi, I have a problem that apparently is related to Symantec (I use symantec endpoint use Version 10.5.2).

 
I have a user who repeatedly get invalid or delay delivery mails.
 
The message is as follows:
 

451 4.4.1 [internal] connection was not attempted: domain is marked down (too many connection failures)

421 4.4.0 [internal] failed to connect: no mail servers for this domain could be reached at this time

What might be happening?

Getting an audit of everything for {Today}

I need a solution

Is there a simple way (I've tried Message Audit Log) that will simply show all messages received in one list - and what happened with them. I'm confident that SMG is working fine but would be good for sanity check to see a simple list of all messages (date/subject/recipient) and what SMG verdict was. Including ones it's dropped without processing (bad reputation).

A​t the moment it requests a mandatory filter item (such as recipient, sender etc) which means you can only do a report by person/sender. I'd like to see all of them in a simple list to ensure that it's doing what we think it's doing !

Hi All,

I'm using Symantec Messaging gateway appliance v10.5.4

Just recently I've received multiple spam email to some of my internal AD user & Exchange Shared mailboxes.

The sender was from Network.Scanner@mydomain.com but the Originated IP and the email subject is always randomly changed.

How can I prevent the SPAM from external sender spoofing as internal sender to my domain safely ?

Can anyone here please assist me with how to reconfigure the SPAM rule how to fix this issue where email coming from one legitimate sender (eta@mailcall.com.au) ?

for some reason it always stuck in the Spam Quarantine area daily even when I have click [This is NOT a SPAM] button and put the email domain *@mailcall.com.au as white listed.

Upon further checking with https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/ Message Analyzer, it shows that the timestamp is Invalid Date.

Symantec Messaging Gateway is blocking .me and .mac domains

I need a solution

I work at a school.  Some of our important parents have email addresses ending in .me, sbcglobal.net and mac.com.  In every case the gateway was dropping/bouncing their incoming emails.  I went into our 'local good senders list' and added *.me, mac.com and sbcglobal.net.  Should I consider the problem solved (for now) ?

We have one controller center and a few scanner role servers. Controller center server is crashed and we can't reach both its web interface and its ssh.We will install a new controller center but how to know which scanner role servers are as inbound and which are outbound. Which IP addresses are recorded on those scanner role servers.

SMG & TLS Session re use

Hi All,

I have a ticket logged with Symantec regarding this, but wondering if anyone else has seen this issue.  A client using Mimecast to send/receive email is having issues sending us email via enforced TLS.  Roughly 50-70% of the email is rejected as it is not seen as sent using TLS our side.  On investigation using the TCPdump during testing, i can see the rejected messages are when a previous TLS session is used, rather than establishing a new TLS session.

Our side (the SMG) responds to the request to re use a session with the correct session ID as per the RFC on page 36 but according to the logs mimecast sent, at the point of the 2nd HELO once the session is established (or reused in this case), our side drops the conneciton as the STARTTLS is not included in the options from the sender.

Has anyone else seen this sort of issue, where enforced TLS sometimes works, sometimes doesn't?, we're running 10.5.3-4 on VMware, rebooted our affected host last night but see the same problem.  Waiting on Symatec to comment on my ticket after uploading my latest test data and findings.
