SMG Invalid Recipient sends network details

I need a solution

Hi guys!

We have Invalid Recipient active on SMG to reject messages, but when an email is rejected, the SMG sends an email to the sender with to much information about our network.

This is te email that the sender receives when SMG rejects an email.

Emails being delayed/fail when sent through Messagelab spam filter

I need a solution

We are sending mails to at least 4 seperate domains that happen to use the messagelab spam filter and all mails are bouncing back with delays, after 4 hours we receive the bounces.  Our customers are getting mad and we are possibily losing business because they think we are not responding to them.  THIS HAS GOT TO BE RESOLVED ASAP.  Tried to contact your support but since we do not use your product, they will not help.  The only customers that use your product are the ONLY ones we have delivery problems with.  We use an in house Exchange 2013 server.

Unable to filter result in SMG Spam Message Quarantine

Hi,

Does SMG can search data in Spam Message Quarantine using email address?

We are having an issue when searching email address on Spam Message Quarantine, there is no search result.

But when searching using the name of the sender it shows the email sent by the sender.

See image below for reference.

We also try to uncheck the Display friendly sender address but still same result.

We have domain msahanoi.com.vn, I creat MX : mailx3.msahanoi.com.vn  with IP : 184.95.46.242 . But we can not send email to some customer. Detail  our IP 184.95.46.242 listed black list  on symatect .  Please help adding our ip in whitelist .

Our email policy requires us to quarantine mails that contain active content like javascript. An disarm feature would greatly improve handling of these mails. Example:

SMG 10.6.3-2 valid emails marked as spam

Hello! Need help.

I upgraded SMG 10.6.2-7 to 10.6.3-2 version and after that a lot of valid emails are marked as spam.
For example gmail.com and emails from our country domains. SMTP message audit logs says that the email is marked as spam, so changing suspected spam scores won't help. Also, URL reputation filtering is disabled and my IPs don't have negative reputation (Symantec Mail Security Reputation).

Any ideas? Is it some kind of bug?

Need some clarity on how we can achieve mail tagging as [External] for mails other than internal domain.in/com. Can it be achieved through with their existing Symantec SMG setup? Mail server is on prem total no of mail is 4000/- using mail client outlook.

After the latest update. our out of office replies are coming back with the following: Delivery Failed 550 requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable There is not mailbox for out of office replies. and I have tried to set up a filter to allow the replies through spam still no good. Any help is appreciated.

Hi there.

We are testing the SMG for a month before deciding to whether to buy, but we ran into a problem:

We run a Exchange 2010 mail server on premisses, and installed the Virtual Appliance for the SMG 10.6.3-2 as our mail frontend, so all mailflow passes through it.

Single mail is going fine, but messages for bigger groups (20+ people) are being held on the Exchange Queue, with the error 421 4.4.2 Connection dropped due to ConnectionReset.

On the SMG side, im getting many:

- 4.7.1<external mail here>: Recipient address rejected: MX-PNM-02 - Too many messages, try again later.
- 421 4.3.2 The maximum number of concurrent connections has exceeded a limit, closing transmission channel

Is this on the SMG side or exchange side?

It seems that database schema migration failed so that a column couldn't be found.  I have full backups (previous version) available. Is there any solution other than reinstall OS and restore it from full backup?  Accessing spam quarantine console for users seems to be working fine.

I need a solution

First of all, i'm currently not a symantec customer.
​But Symantec messaging gateway is causing my some troubles. 

Bussiness relations of our company that use messaging gateway don't receive any mails from us.

We figured out that we're being blocked when we put our website in the mailsignature.

For couple of days, i'm trying to get in touch with someone from symantec that can tell how we can get our website from that blacklist or at least tell why we're on the blacklist. 

calling support is a death end since i'm not a customer.

Most spamfilters at least gives you the opportunity to 'revoke' or ask to reconsider the bad status. 

Any suggestions welcome.
