My SMG version 10.6.5-1, had a strange behavior, were normally occurring exchanges of messages between two people, when suddenly in one of them he classified the message as "unscannable for malware and content filtering" verdict "unscannble due to malformed MIME" , what could have happened and how can I circumvent this so as not to occur?

i just noticed that the latest SMG version, 10.6.6-5, the help menu in the upper right does NOT work.

Hello, I would like to know when it will be done for SMG to be installed in the QEMU KVM. In Comsole I can not update. In the documentation it says that I can do manual bo update install, but it still does not update.

i would like to implement TWO SMG physical appliances as below :
1- one SMG is Scanner only and the second one is Control center & scanner
2- will use inbound & outbound email for both SMG
3- Two physical interfaces on each SMG eth0 & eth1
3- will add a smart route on microsfot Edge Server to forward outbound email traffic to SMG hostname and will use DNS round robin to have a loadbalance for the two SMG.
4- for inbound traffic will create two MX record with same preference.
My Questions :
A- my above points follow the best practices ?
B- is it ok to have eth0 & eth1 in same subnet ? ex. eth0 (inbound) 10.10.10.5 & eth1(outbound) 10.10.10.6
C- any recommendation ?

We're seeing a lot of failures for these DNS queries in my logs. The DNS look-ups seems to be working fine except for these.
Any ideas? Should I be concerned?

for example: 24584@xxxx.com
or I need to block emails that contain more than 4 numbers:
for example: Allow abcd1979@xxx.com but block abcd24588@vvv.com

We have a Symantec Messaging Gateway 10.5.3 - Physical appliance, the previous admin did not handover the passwords so I cannot login now, i have tried all possible ways to reset but no luck.
Admin account is not associated with an email. And I could not find any document to reset the appliance to its factory settings.
Can you please support me to get the system up again.

I am using Symantec Messaging Gateway 10.6.4-3.
When I try to release message, it is released OK but Symantec gives me this error: " Cannot submit the selected message(s) to Symantec Security Response. The service is not available since there was a server error to process the request. Please contact your system administrator."
I see this error also when I try to mark message like spam or not spam.
Need help with this error. How can I check connection between my Symantec Messaging Gateway and Symantec Security Response's servers ?

We have deployed SMG at Gateway in our branch office and we are using office365, i am planning to use SMPTH AUTH to allow users to login and directly send email through SMG, i have below concern which i am still not able to figure out:
How to restrict sending users from using any other "From address" other than his own email address, i cannot find any option to enable this check, do i know to create custom content policy?
My second query is related to inbound mails, we are getting spam from senders who are using different return-path address than from-address. Normally we dont receive any corporate mails with different MAIL-FROM/Return path. Do we need to create custom policy for this type of inbound mails?
