SMG 10.6.6-5 - Quarantine Notification to End Users

I need a solution

Hi,

We have recently configured notifications for spam blocked inbound; the report that reaches end users works perfectly.

We also have a configuration to filter outgoing email messages that are sometimes blocked and stopped in the Spam Message Quarantine folder; these outgoing and blocked messages are not in the Quarantine Notification to End Users report.
How can we solve?

2) Since the add-on create a folder at Outlook, would it 'eat' or own up temporary space from Exchange server?

you try to force/coercion me to buy your faulty produkt to fix your faulty product for your customers?

Fifth,

Our mailservers using, dkim, dmarc, spf, rdns, rspamd, clamav, no open relay, no proxy, are behind a firewall, fail2ban, server logs are clean, systems are not infected, clients are not infected, sending mails is only possible with a valid login via tls.

So just remove 176.9.177.14

and if additional listed:

Symantec Global Bad Sender

We have lost the ability to send e-mails to a business partener.

I find this is why:

Connected to 193.180.251.62 but greeting failed./Remote host said: 554 5.7.1 You are not allowed to connect. Please refer to http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/ for further information”.  

When I visit that link and check my ip address it says:

"IP  does not have any bad reputation"

Whats gives? They say the cant fix it is to contact youis there anything I can do. We are a construction business dont send any marketing emails etc, and on any othere black lists? Its been like this since December.

Is there a Global Bad Sender LIst I can check somwhere?

Emails stuck in delivery queue

Hello everyone. I have around 500 emails stuck in the delivery query of my two scanners with the error " 451.4.4.2 [internal] connection closed by remote host "

Others emails are working fine. There is no firewall or any other security device in between that is doing SMTP Scanning. SMG is running the latest version. I am attaching the screenshot for your reference.

Can you please tell me how can I address this problem. Thanks

Messaging gateway houdt duidelijke spam niet tegen

Ik heb Symantec messaging gateway geconfigureerd. De spam detection staat op 25 van de 100, Alle spam en suspected spam zal naar quarantine moeten gaan, en nog wat content filters staan ook aan etc. Elke dag houdt hij wel rond 200 berichten tegen maar veel komt er nog door. Ik krijg nog duidelijke spam berichten. De mail is dan alleen tekst maar het komt nogsteeds door. Ik heb van alles geprobeerd. ( mallware en virusprotection, content filtering, policy tegen spoofing, sender authenticatino ) Ook heb ik marketing mail en newsletter mail aanstaan en dat hij naar quarantine zou moeten gaan, echter als ik het test url's verzend die in het forum staat gaat die ook gewoon door. Wat doe ik verkeerd? de licentie is geldig. (bijlage is voorbeeld van obvious spam)

Good reputation IP has been blocked with 554 5.7.1 Sender Not allowed

Hi, our IP 51.38.52.139 is getting blocked from your services  This is IP has GOOD reputation from Cisco Talos,  high score on Sender Score. Good score on Barracuda . IP is not blacklisted anywhere (mxtoolbox, ecc).

However, when sending email to providers that use your service we get the following error in logs: 554 5.7.1 Sender Not allowed
 

Our IP is also NOT listed on  https://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/

Can you please check? Our customers are complaining a lot that they can't send emails to some providers.

Hello everyone, im new here looking for some help.

Im a sysadmin at my company, and recently we started having some issues with sending email to certain domains. We can recieve but cannot send mail to them.

The mails are stuck at the gateway with the same error code.

450 4.7.1 Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname

We have correct PTR-record, on both servers, primary and on DR location.

So far i tried changing the DNS on the gateways, but with no luck.

Bypass IP or email address rejected by connection classification

Hello everyone

My client try to send me some email notifications (from apache web server, php function), but emails rejected by MTA.

Verdict:  Filter policy - static connection class 1 

Client IP address have a good reputation, but email notifications haven't define "send from" address.

Gmail, hotmail, yahoo...regulary receive emails from this client.

I tried to add client IP in good sender IP list, but still have a problem and emails are rejected again.

Is there a way to configure my SMG to receive emails from this IP ?

I wouldn't disable connection classification feature.

Hello,

We have started to receive JPGs containing bitcoin demand letters.  The existing rule I created blocks text that contains the word bitcoin but the graphic is not OCR'd for this term.  I'm looking for a method of blocking emails with JPGs that do not contain any text in the body of the message.

Hi all,

I get one error every minute in my Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG). The error is as follows:

read_spamwall_config: Filtering Policy: <static-allow-dns> is missing a required destination value;

Does anyone else see this error? How can i stop this?

Also:

I would like to reset some settings (not all) to default. I this case i would like to reset two things:

1. Everything below: Reputation / Policys / Good Senders

2. The settings below Spam / Settings / Sender Authentication

Is there a way to do this?

Emails Bounced/blocked by Symantec Filter

I need a solution

Our emails are being bounced/blocked even though the doamin is not blacklisted. We usually send massive emails numbers each week to our customers through Exact Target. We are currently in the testing process for this new domain and testing is failing / emails are not delivered. This is a high priority concern for our company. Can you please help?
